Interviews Part II
Well my first two interviews are over with and I couldn't be more happy to be done with them. I have had interviews in the past but these were the first interviews I have had for full-time employment. The first one went okay, wasn't too stressful, just tried to answer the interviewers questions as confidently as I could. Haven't heard anything back, but then again they were only hiring 6 people so the competition was pretty steep. The second interview... well I don't think there is enough space to talk about how bad it went. I was told I was qualified for the position but when I got into the interview room I was told they were only looking for technical people (Well Hello, I am a Finance major not an Information Systems Major!) So as soon as I heard that I knew it was going to be a tough interview. So all of the questions that were presented after were about IT, I don't know things about IT, again I am a Finance major! So yeah when asked if I knew how to work Java, code things, etc etc I was 100% positive I was not getting a second interview and was sure I didn't want one either. If I have no idea what is going on in the interview, then clearly it is not meant to be. Kind of frustrating that I was told I was qualified and then lead to believe it was a non-technical position and then be asked all technical questions. So got the big denied email today, "We would love to have you here but........" I knew it was coming, I knew the job wasn't right but it still kinda sucks, you are good and all but everyone else was better... Keeping my head held high though and hoping for better opportunities to come my way!

Interviews are rough. It's like a rejection every time you don't get the job.... I feel the same about applications. I don't do well with rejection :-) YOU'LL GET HIRED SOMEWHERE! Applebees might take you back!
They are great practice..Keep trying and keep your head held high.. You will get the perfect job sooner or later, just wait and see...
