This is where I will be March 15-19th. Ahh can't wait! Paradise here I come!

The Bug

So the other night I was laying in bed, watching some tv and preparing for my 8 uninterrupted hours of sleep I had ahead of me. I turn my light off, lay my head on the pillow and then out of the corner of my eye I see something on my ceiling. Of course I then jump up, turn the light on and see a HUGE centipede thing crawling on my ceiling. I kid you not it had at least 500 legs. Sick nasty. I then run to the bathroom and grab tissues to squash the bug. So I go to kill the bug and it moves a little so I only get a few of it's hundreds of legs. It then proceeds to fall on my bed and then tuck and roll under it. EWWWW! So now I am wide awake. There is no sleeping happening until this bug is caught. I then sit in the middle of my bed, periodically checking around for the creature for about 2 hours. Yes, I was really that bothered by the little bug. I finally decide that maybe I am overreacting. Please, let's be real I don't overreact ever Ha. Okay, so I go to close my eyes, just a test run because the lights are still on and I start seeing the bug crawling all over me. Nope, not going to sleep till I catch it I tell myself. Another 15 minutes pass and it is now nearing 2:30am and I am tired. I finally decide that if I cocoon myself into all of my sheets and blankets that the bug can't harm me, touch me, etc. So as I am cocooning, I roll over to face my pillow to lay my head down and there it is. The little disgusting thing is crawling on the wall above my pillow. AHHH! Yes, I probably woke the neighbors. I jumped up and grabbed the one thing I knew would get him, my black stiletto. I grabbed my shoe and smacked the bug and it fell on the ground, finally lifeless. Yes, I prevailed!! So finally I grab some tissues pick the bug up, flush it and now I can finally sleep after my 3 hour interruption. I get in my bed fall asleep and awaken at 6am to my own screams. Why you ask? Oh because I was dreaming of being attacked by an army of centipedes. After I calmed down and realized that I was actually not covered in bugs I fell back asleep. I did not however use my bathroom the next morning in fear that the bug was waiting for me with an army. Let's just say it was a long day at work the next day.

Happy New Year!

2009 was a good year but I am anxious to find what 2010 has in store for me. This coming year is obviously going to always be a memorable year for me, it will be the year I graduate from college, find a job, move to a new location... well hopefully. I am very excited for what lies ahead of me but nervous at the same time. For the last 4 years I knew I was going to take classes and that was my main focus, now my focus will shift and I am almost looking forward to that change. Here is to a healthy and happy 2010!

Flashback Friday

Thanksgiving break in MB was a blast! One of the days we headed to Build-a-Bear and Ava created Lucy. I was just looking through old pictures and came across Ava's first trip to Build-a-Bear...




So crazy how much has changed since then!

22!

So 21 has come and gone and I am officially 22 years and 1 week old. I had a wonderful birthday, and it really showed me how awesome my friends and family are for making it such a special day. My roommates decorated the apartment, had presents and cupcakes waiting and then took me to dinner and out with all of my friends. It was an awesome night and a good almost end to the semester.

Goldie!

My roommates dog from home has been living with us for a couple of months now. She is a toy poodle and is just too cute. She is about 10 years old but you would never be able to tell. Today, Brittany and I, took her to Pet's Mart and came back with a new dress and collar. Here she is all dressed up...
